Rix Storm S3r v2 – 384 resolution – 3.5x to 14x magnification

The RIX Optics Storm S3R V2 takes one of RIX’s most popular compact thermal scopes and upgrades nearly every area that matters in the field. It retains the proven 384×288 resolution, 35mm F/1.0 objective lens and useful 3.5× base magnification of the original Storm S3R, but adds a new thermal detector, improved image processing, a larger high-resolution display and a much longer-range laser rangefinder.

RIX also redesigned the eyepiece, mount and rangefinder placement to make the Storm S3R V2 more comfortable behind the rifle and more compatible with both AR-platform and bolt-action rifles.

For coyote hunters working open fields, hog hunters who need accurate ranging and anyone wanting a lightweight thermal scope with built-in ballistics, the S3R V2 offers an impressive amount of capability without moving into 640-resolution pricing.
